Domani Kerrang! la rivista presenta una intervista esclusiva mondiale con 30 Seconds To Mars. Ci uniamo alla band in studio, come hanno messo gli ultimi ritocchi per il follow-up del 2005 conquista album, A Beautiful Lie.

30 Seconds To Mars hanno lavorato con il produttore Flood (Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Smashing Pumpkins) presso il Centro Internazionale per la promozione delle arti e delle scienze Of Sound di Hollywood Hills e, secondo frontman Jared Leto, la band ha scrisse un scaglionamento 120 canzoni per il nuovo rilascio.

"I'd get up e, a volte, una canzone che appena arrivato," ha detto Leto K!. "E 'solo succedere. Generalmente se si sedette al pianoforte o raccolse una chitarra, una canzone sarebbe arrivato. Ma ogni brano è diverso e questo è ciò che rende entusiasmante e questo è ciò che rende interessante. Ogni canzone ha le proprie regole -- alcuni provengono veloce; devi battere la merda di vita degli altri. La cosa importante da sapere è che il record è quasi finito. "

Sebbene sia una data di uscita è ancora da fissare per il nuovo album, Leto rivela che lui e il fratello / chitarrista e batterista Shannon Tomo Milicevic far distillare i 120 brani a soli 20.

Leto è andato anche a rivelare ciò che il nuovo album sarà chiamato:

"Volete sapere il titolo di un album?" ha chiesto Kerrang!. "Bene, ho intenzione di dare a voi. L'ho fatto prima e mi sono in difficoltà e forse è meglio non dire questo, ma il titolo è così com'è ... Questa è la guerra!"

In un recente articolo su Kerrang! Jared ha parlato del nuovo album della band, dicendo che preferisce non diffondere il titolo provvisorio del CD, altrimenti i fan potrebbero rimanerci male, se venisse cambiato. Non ha rilasciato molte informazioni sulle canzoni nuove, ha solo detto che ci sono due brani che a lui piacciono molto e che si chiamano "Panacea" e "Kings & Queens" . Jared ha inoltre detto che non hanno ancora una data di uscita precisa, ma che pensa e spera di riuscire a farcela per la tarda primavera.
Per quanto riguarda il produttore, il cantante della band ha detto che sarà Flood, ovvero il produttore di album di band come Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, U2 e Depeche Mode.
Alle domande sulla causa con la EMI, Jared ha risposto dicendo che dipende dai giorni. Ogni tanto non ci pensano, ogni tanto la questione li tormenta, ma sono sempre e comunque al lavoro per soddisfare i fan con la loro musica.

Jared è anche un attore. Ha recitato in oltre 15 film, come "Requiem for a Dream" o "Alexander".
Tra le sue passioni troviamo l'arte e la regia (ha frequentato la Philadelphia University of Arts, oltre alla School of Visual Arts di New York, dove si è specializzato in regia)
Ha diretto gli ultimi due video del gruppo, sotto lo pseudonimo di Bartholomew Cubbins.

Batterista
Shannon è il fratello maggiore di Jared. Tra le sue passioni ci sono la fotografia e l'arte. Ha recitato in qualche film con Jared, come "Prefontaine" e qualche episodio di "My So Called Life".

Chitarrista
E' il terzo chitarrista della band. E' entrato a far parte del gruppo dopo Solon Bixler e Kevin Drake. Inizialmente era un fan dei 30 Seconds to Mars e ha conosciuto Shannon. Dopo un'amicizia di circa 6 anni, Jared, Matt e Shannon gli hanno chiesto di diventare il nuovo chitarrista.
Ha una sorella attrice, Ivana Milicevic.

Timothy Kelleher
26 anni
Attuale bassista, ha sostituito Matt Wachter dopo che quest'ultimo ha lasciato la band dopo la tappa del Taste Of Chaos di El Paso, Texas. Non è ancora chiaro se Tim entrerà a far parte della formazione ufficiale dei 30 Seconds To Mars o se suonerà con loro solo provvisoriamente.
Ha suonato con i My darling Murder (gruppo ormai sciolto)

In un'intervista rilasciata ad MTV, i 30 Seconds to Mars parlano della causa in corso con la casa discografica, del nuovo album e fanno sentire una piccola anteprima di una delle nuove canzoni a cui stanno lavorando.

Jared dice che, nonostante la causa da 30 milioni di dollari, sta lavorando sodo con la band e che la musica che stanno componendo è stata influenzata dalle esperienze vissute dalla band in questi anni di tour mondiale. Il cantante aggiunge anche che, secondo la loro opinione, questo è il CD migliore che abbiano mai fatto.
