L'attore Jared Leto e compagni, ovvero i 30 Seconds To Mars, si apprestano a ritornare con un nuovo fantastico album.

Dopo il successo di "A Beautiful Lie", con questo nuovo disco, "This Is War", la band si candida per la grande riconferma.

Il disco uscirà il 4 dicembre 2009 e verrà stampato in 2000 copertine diverse, costruite con le foto spedite direttamente dai fans.

I fans sono stati importanti anche per la produzione del disco, infatti il gruppo ha voluto che cantassero delle parti vocali che poi son state inserite nell'album.

Il singolo di apertura del nuovo lavoro si chiama "Kings and Queens", mentre il brano che dà il titolo all'album sarà nella colonna sonora del nuovissimo videogioco "Dragon Age: Origins".

I Thirty Seconds to Mars vanno in guerra con Dragon Age: Origins

La title track del nuovo album “THIS IS WAR” debutta questa
settimana nell'epico RPG

Edmonton, Alberta – 4 novembre 2009. BioWare™, sviluppatore leader nel campo dei videogiochi e divisione di Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS), ha annunciato che la pluripremiata rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars guiderà la colonna sonora del suo nuovo RPG epico Dragon Age™: Origins. Il brano che dà il titolo al nuovo album “THIS IS WAR” farà il suo debutto mondiale in Dragon Age: Origins prima dell'uscita dell'attesissimo disco, prevista in Italia per il 4 dicembre nei formati cd e combo (doppio vinile + cd) su etichetta Virgin Records (EMI). I fan e la stampa possono ascoltare in anteprima “THIS IS WAR” anche in un esclusivo trailer del gioco coprodotto dal frontman del gruppo, Jared Leto.

Steve Schnur, worldwide executive di musica e marketing musicale in EA, ha dichiarato: “EA ha sempre guardato al futuro, nella collaborazione con i Thirty Seconds to Mars, e siamo esaltatissimi per il contributo creativo della band a Dragon Age: Origins. Anche Jared Leto, cantante dei Thirty Seconds to Mars, ha detto la sua: “Cerchiamo sempre di spingerci oltre i limiti, nel mondo dell'intrattenimento e dei media, e far debuttare la nostra title track in un gioco di questo calibro è un ottimo modo per portare la nostra musica ai fan di tutto il mondo. In Dragon Age: Origins, i giocatori vestono il ruolo di un Custode Grigio, uno degli ultimi esponenti di un antico ordine di custodi. Ora, mentre il male si scatena per distruggere tutte le forme di vita, tocca ai giocatori riunire una terra frammentata e sconfiggere il corrotto drago noto come l'Arcidemone. Per riportare la pace, dovranno prendere decisioni spietate ed essere pronti a sacrificare anche i propri cari e gli amici, in nome del bene comune.
